Let's Learn Beginner Debate (Small Group)

Join this engaging, discussion-based debate club where learners develop confidence in expressing ideas, building arguments, and speaking persuasively. In this ongoing course, students will explore a range of scientific and real-world topics while learning how to organise, prepare, and deliver clear, evidence-based arguments. Debating helps children develop critical thinking, communication, and active listening skills. Learners will be encouraged to question ideas, consider different perspectives, and respectfully agree or disagree while supporting their opinions with reasons and examples. This course also supports self-confidence, collaboration, and the ability to think independently. Each session focuses on a new topic, giving learners the opportunity to research, discuss, and present their views in a supportive environment. Students will learn key debate skills such as structuring arguments, using evidence, listening to others, and responding thoughtfully. Ideal for beginners who are new to debating or who want to improve their ability to express opinions, listen actively, and engage in respectful discussions.
